Rescue:

When you live in a rural area and there are no low cost spay neuter programs close to you, no
city shelters and very few vets that support controlling the over population of cats, you quickly
become over populated. A couple who live on a farm property that also houses a machine
shop found themselves with ten females and three males, all unaltered. As a result, kittens
were born twice and sometimes three times a year, new dependents without homes. They did
their best to find families for them, but when you run out of friends and coworkers then you
reach out to cat rescue organizations and soon they found Pet Patrol. We appreciated the
fact that their cats were housed in the work shop, which was clean and dry, they were fed well
and had fresh water and comfy beds. The kittens were brought in the house when they were
born, with their mom, and all socialized and ready for adoption. Through Pet Patrol we have
taken almost twenty kittens from them, and little Franz is the last litter to be born on the property.
All the adults have now been spayed or neutered and their colony is now under control.

Personality:

Franz is known as a little firecracker with no limits and little fear. He is the smallest and most
active of his siblings, always down for some play time. As a very friendly and trusting boy he
will happily follow his favorite human anywhere. Besides chasing his siblings or anything moving,
he is also a fan of cuddles. He will readily climb into your lap, look soulfully into your eyes
and demand attention. He is always the first to greet you and is very social to everyone, both
humans and other cats. Franz is ready to be adopted into his forever home with a sibling or
playmate. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
