Rescue:

While out for a walk one spring day, we came across a lonely kitten sitting underneath a
portable building. Unsure about what to do, we contacted our friends who had a great deal
of experience and were familiar with Pet Patrol. We set out to find mamma (Sugar) and her
babies. We also learned from neighbours that mom had been around the neighbourhood
for around a year. She seemed to be okay with people but had obviously been neglected
and eventually let go. After earning a bit of trust with mom, we eventually discovered where
the kittens were hiding and managed to rescued mom and her little feline family, Meringue,
Maple, Molasses, and Maple. Mom was spayed and has made her way to the Pet Patrol
sanctuary where she can relax and enjoy her life.

Personality:

Meringue is the momma’s boy of the litter. He is the biggest of his siblings, sometimes
weighing 1.5 to 2lbs heavier than his brother Maple. He is adventurous and loves to play
with all the toys and likes to get himself into trouble too. He is wary around humans, just
like his mom, but is starting to come around and like the idea of living in a safe and comfortable
place. Did we mention that Meringue likes food? He will always be the biggest of
the litter but will also enjoy snuggling in his forever home with Molasses. This lovely boy is
ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors.
