Rescue:

Mex is such a nice cat. When he came to the sanctuary he did nothing but eat and sleep for
three days. He was so hungry and exhausted. He’s shown us that he is gentle and likes his
people. His story starts on a property where people do things the traditional way. The house
they lived in was a rental and what happens on a continual basis is that people live there for a
year and then move on. Usually the animals that they have – their dogs and cats are fed and
looked after. The kittens are handled by the children and are quite friendly and used to being
picked up. But none of the pets are ever spayed or neutered. They sell the kittens for $20 and
puppies as well sometimes, but they’ve never been to a vet and none are vaccinated or
dewormed either. The people moved and Mex was left behind. He made his way over to
another property which was in disarray and disrepair and not a nice place to be. A visitor,
seeing that he was a nice cat and that he had already sired one litter of kittens, decided he
should be rescued so that he could be neutered and find a wonderful home. Soon he was in
Pet Patrol care

Personality:

This handsome orange boy is wonderful. When you reach out to pet him, he will flop over and
show you his belly, which is an invitation for a belly rub, and look at you upside down. He is
very endearing and goofy as well. Max is fine with other cats and has made himself at home in
the sanctuary. He is calm, cool, and collected. What a wonderful cat and we are so lucky to
have him in our care and to be able to help him along the way. He is happy to just watch the
world from the windowsill inside, stretched out and basking in the sun. He has no interest in
the outdoor life anymore, been there, done that. Didn’t like it. Mex is ready to be adopted into
his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
