Nash

Rescue:

Nash and his sister Nellie appeared one day on a rural property. There’s thirty acres of field
and brush and the neighbours are not within eyesight. There is just a house and a small outbuilding on the property. The people who discovered them thought these two young cats may
have migrated from the closest property to them. It is house that is rented out and “people
come and go all the time. It is like a revolving door sometimes” they say. Both Nash and Nellie
came to the back door of the property looking for food and were a little timid to start with. The
couple started feeding the cats but did not want them to be a permanent fixture. “We’re not
sure where they were finding shelter but the cats reappear every day.” Knowing that Nellie
would become pregnant soon, the people brought them into Pet Patrol care as they did not
want to increase the colony of homeless cats.

Personality:

Nash is very sweet natured and happy to be indoors. He likes to be up high and look out the
windows, overseeing the activity in the playroom at the sanctuary and to be pet up there. He
loves the affection and will flop over to be pet. He is still learning about jumping up beside
you, but treats are always a good way to encourage that. He feels most comfortably being with
his sister Nellie, but they also get along well with the other cats. Toys have become something
very interesting to him. The simplest ones right now catch his attention like a ball that bounces,
crumpled paper and a wand toy. He has not been introduced to more sophisticated toys just
yet, since he seems to be quite enthralled to chase down a catnip mouse and chase a string.
He will graduate to more intricate toys in time. Nash is ready to be adopted into his forever
home, hopefully with his sister Nellie. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him
safely indoors
