Scout

Rescue:

Scout’s story is one of heartbreak, resilience, and hope. He was born on a farm where an elderly,
unspayed mother cat continued to have litter after litter. By the time her most recent kittens were
born, she was no longer producing milk and was unable to care for them. Concerned for their
survival, the property owner reached out for help. Tragically, of the four kittens in the litter, three
passed away before a rescuer could arrive. Scout, the tiny grey kitten, was the only survivor.
Despite everything he had already endured, his fight wasn’t over. Soon after being rescued, it was
discovered that he had a botfly larva embedded in his shoulder, which was carefully removed.
Through it all, Scout remained surprisingly strong, active, and determined. Thanks to the quick
actions of his rescuer, he was given the chance his siblings never had. Now safe in Pet Patrol’s
care, Scout’s difficult beginning is behind him, and he is ready to find the loving forever family every
little survivor deserves.

Personality:

Scout is a sweet kitten with a big personality and a serious case of the sillies! This curious little guy
likes to be involved in absolutely everything you do. Climbing into cupboards? Check! Sniffing the
dishwasher? Absolutely! Chasing the broom or running after his own tail? You bet! Life with Scout is
never boring. Scout loves roughandtumble play with his fellow kittens. He’s also a big fan of balls,
springs, and his beloved little mouse. When playtime is over, he enjoys the comfort of curling up
with his kitten friends for a cozy nap. Scout takes mealtime very seriously! The moment he hears a
can opening, he comes running. Once Scout has burned off his energy and filled his tummy, his
sweet, cuddly side comes out. He loves snoozing right on top of you, curled up on your shoulder or
chest. If you’re not around, you might find him stretched out on the mat by the door, soaking up the
warm sunshine while he waits for you. Scout would love a forever home with another playful kitten
to keep him company and a family who will shower him with love, attention, and plenty of
opportunities for fun.
