Rescue:
The P family came from a farm just up the road from the Pet Patrol sanctuary. The barn was home
to a variety of animals, with the kittens growing up amongst them. While this may be a common
way of life on a farm, it certainly wasn’t a safe environment for tiny kittens. Pet Patrol initially
received a call saying there were five babies needing help, but when volunteers arrived, they
quickly discovered eight kittens instead—and only three had been secured. Catching the remaining
five turned into quite the rescue mission! Volunteers found themselves lying on the barn floor
amongst manure, reaching underneath wooden skids, and creatively maneuvering through narrow
spaces between enormous bales of straw. A few of the kittens were also suffering from upper
respiratory and eye infections, something that can quickly become serious for kittens so little. One
by one, all eight were finally secured and brought into care with warm beds, proper medical care,
and full bellies.
Personality:
Porsche is an independent, energetic girl who is always ready for her next kitten adventure! Often
first in line when a kitten stampede races through the room, she loves chasing and wrestling with
her siblings and finding a good box where she can hide until the perfect moment to pounce.
Porsche enjoys fullbody pets from head to tail, although she prefers keeping all four paws on the
ground and decides for herself when it’s time for affection. When she’s in the mood for company,
she’ll happily come and settle beside her foster while they sit on the floor. Full of curiosity and
playful energy, Porsche would do best with another kitten or playful cat to keep her company and in
a home with older, calm children or no children. Porsche is ready to be adopted into her forever
home—one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
