Rescue:

Fawna was rescued from a heartbreaking hoarding situation where unowned cats had been left to
multiply in overcrowded and unsafe conditions. The property owner rented out two neighbouring
houses while using the buildings and sheds to store years’ worth of belongings, creating an
environment where cats could easily hide and continue having litter after litter of kittens. One
concerned tenant reached out to Pet Patrol after becoming overwhelmed by the conditions, even
having to cover the doorway leading to an overcrowded storage room attached to her living space.
Volunteers initially rescued eight kittens from the property, but just weeks later another eight kittens
were discovered in a shed behind the neighbouring house, revealing just how quickly the cat
population had grown. Fawna was one of the lucky kittens rescued from this difficult beginning.
Although she missed out on the early socialization every kitten deserves, she is now safe in foster
care, where she is learning to trust people and discovering that life can be filled with warmth,
comfort, and love. Her difficult start is behind her, and she is ready to find the forever family she has
always deserved.

Personality:

Fawna is a busy, curious little girl who can turn just about anything into a toy! Whether it’s a spring,
a crumpled piece of paper, or something new she’s discovered, she is always ready to bat it around
and occasionally get herself into a little kitten mischief. Fawna loves rough­and­tumble play with the
other kittens and happily joins them for zoomies around the room. She can be a little shy at first, but
once she knows you, her sweet side quickly appears—she’ll start purring when she sees her
favourite people walk into the room and will often roll over asking for tummy rubs and pets. She is
also becoming more comfortable with being picked up as her confidence continues to grow. When
all that playing finally wears her out, Fawna’s favourite places are a sunny window ledge where she
can soak up the rays or a cozy cat bed for a well­earned nap. Fawna is ready to be adopted into
her forever home—one that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
