Rescue:
Rory’s journey to safety began in the early spring when he appeared in a park near a local tourtist
market. Alone and unsure of people, he sought shelter beneath the neighbouring homes, doing his
best to stay safe while searching for food. Thankfully, a neighbour of one of Pet Patrol’s volunteers
noticed the handsome boy and began leaving food out for him each day, patiently working to earn
his trust. Little by little, Rory’s confidence grew until one day he finally gathered the courage to step
inside her home. She kept him safe and cared for him until Pet Patrol was able to welcome him into
our care. Although Rory was understandably nervous, he found comfort in the company of the
resident cats and quickly showed he enjoyed having feline friends nearby. Once he arrived at Pet
Patrol, it was discovered that he had a large abscess on his neck, which was promptly treated.
Now, with his injury healed and the hardships of outdoor life behind him, Rory is discovering the
comforts of indoor living and looking forward to finding the loving forever home he has always
deserved.
Personality:
Rory is a handsome little blackandwhite fellow who has decided that people just aren’t his thing,
and that’s perfectly okay. While he’s not looking to be a lap cat, he would make an excellent
addition to a hobby farm where he can live life on his own terms. Rory would thrive in a quiet rural
setting with a warm barn or sheltered space, regular meals, fresh water, and caring people who
understand that not every cat wants handson affection. Curious and independent, he’ll enjoy
exploring the property, keeping an eye on the barns, and settling into a routine where he feels safe
and secure. With time, consistency, and kindness, Rory can build trust at his own pace while living
the life that suits him best. Rory is looking for a loving hobby farm that will provide him with safe
shelter, nutritious food, veterinary care, and a lifetime of patience and compassion.
