My Lip Is Torn

Hi… my name is Nala. 🩷🐾

I don’t really know how I ended up all alone.

I just remember hiding underneath a big moving pod because I was scared… and my little jaw hurt so much.

I cried as loudly as I could, hoping someone would hear me.

Then I heard a kind voice.

A nice lady was taking her little boy to a birthday party when she heard my tiny meows. She looked everywhere until she found me hiding underneath the pod. When she called to me…

I ran right into her arms.

I don’t know why, but something inside me told me she was safe.

She looked at my face and knew right away something was very wrong. The skin on my lower jaw had been torn away from the bone, and every little movement hurt. I tried to be brave, but it was hard.

She called the nice people at Pet Patrol, and before I knew it, I was on my way to get help.

The vets say I need delicate reconstructive surgery to repair my little jaw. I’m scared… it’s my face, after all… but everyone keeps telling me that once it heals, I’ll finally be able to eat, play, and grow up without pain.

I’m such a cuddly little girl. I love being picked up, I love snuggling with people, and I don’t really like being alone. I always want someone nearby, whether it’s a person or another kitty to curl up beside.

My foster family says my beautiful patchwork fur of orange, black, gold, and auburn is one of the prettiest coats they’ve ever seen.

They also tell me I’m just as beautiful on the inside.

My surgery, medications, and recovery are expensive, but Pet Patrol didn’t hesitate to help me the moment they saw how badly I was hurting.

If you’re able to donate or share my story, you’ll be helping a tiny calico kitten grow up with a healthy little jaw, a happy heart, and the bright future she deserves.

I think that’s all I’ve ever wanted.

With tiny purrs and hopeful little meows,

Nala 🩷🐱
