Rescue:
Bayla and Bekkie’s story began when a caring couple welcomed the two sisters, as young kittens,
into their home after adopting them from a household with too many cats. They had hoped the
kittens would become wonderful companions for their resident cat, and they took every step to give
the introductions the best chance of success, including a slow and careful integration.
Unfortunately, despite their patience and dedication, their resident cat never accepted the sweet
sisters. Wanting Bayla and Bekkie to have the happy, stressfree lives they deserved, the couple
made the difficult but loving decision to surrender them to Pet Patrol. Knowing how closely bonded
the girls are, they asked that they remain together so they could continue providing each other with
comfort, confidence, and companionship as they search for their forever family.

Bayla is the confident explorer, happily roaming the sanctuary, greeting visitors, and showing her
little sister that the world isn’t nearly as scary as it first seems. Bekkie prefers to take things a little
slower, watching from a cozy spot before gathering the courage to follow Bayla’s lead. With her
sister by her side, Bekkie grows braver every day, and together they are beginning to embrace all
the adventures that indoor life has to offer. Both girls are incredibly sweet and affectionate, enjoying
gentle attention from people, though each in her own way. Bayla’s outgoing personality helps bring
Bekkie out of her shell, while Bekkie’s gentle nature perfectly balances Bayla’s adventurous spirit.
