Rescue:
Winnie’s story began several years ago when rumours circulated through a small village that four
cats had been abandoned in the area. It is believed those cats eventually made their way to a
nearby farm property, where they survived as best they could. Over time, Winnie began visiting
neighbouring homes, and one kindhearted person welcomed her indoors. Unfortunately, Winnie
was never spayed, and after she slipped outside one day, she was never allowed back in. She
survived an entire winter outdoors before being discovered the following spring hiding in a cedar
bush. A woman searching for an injured cat found Winnie instead, along with a teenage orange
kitten she had taken under her wing. Soon after coming into Pet Patrol’s care, it became clear
Winnie was pregnant. Safe, warm, and finally protected, she gave birth to four healthy kittens
indoors, where she could raise them without ever having to worry about food, shelter, or predators
again.
Personality:
Winnie is a sweet, friendly girl who has been a wonderful house guest and an incredibly devoted
mother to her kittens. She enjoys spending time with people and will often chat softly with gentle
little meows while keeping her family company. One of her favourite places to be is curled up on the
couch beside her people, quietly enjoying their company. Now that her kittens are growing up and
finding homes of their own, Winnie is ready for a future where she can finally be the one receiving
all the attention and love. While she enjoys children and family life, Winnie prefers a calm
environment and does not like being picked up or startled by sudden movements. She would do
best with a family who understands and respects her boundaries. Gentle, loving, and easy to adore,
Winnie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and
keep her safely indoors.
