Kalika & Kiko

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from a woman who operates a small rescue after she became aware
of a growing situation involving cats in desperate need of help. Years earlier, Pet Patrol had assisted
the same family living on the rural property by taking in some kittens and adult cats. At the time, the
property had already been quite cluttered and difficult to manage, but sadly conditions had
worsened significantly following the passing of the father in the family. When help finally arrived,
many of the cats were suffering from lice, worms, ticks, malnourishment, and being underweight.
Wanting to give as many cats as possible a chance at a healthier future,Pet Patrol brought several
into care, including Kalika and Kiko. Both adults and kittens are now receiving the medical care,
proper nutrition, and safety they desperately needed. There are still more cats remaining on the
property, and it is hoped that additional rescues will be possible in time with the owners’ cooperation.

Personality:

Kalika and Kiko are a beautifully bonded pair who complement each other perfectly. Kalika, lovingly
known as “Mama,” is a gentle, affectionate girl who forms incredibly deep bonds with her people.
She greets you at the door with her adorable little chirps, always eager to tell you about her day
before settling in for plenty of pets and snuggles. Sensitive and intuitive, Kalika seems to
understand her people’s emotions and is happiest when she can simply be by your side. While she
can still be a little startled by loud noises or unexpected touches, she has a playful kitten spirit and
loves chasing wand toys, batting springs around the house, and happily accepting treats. Kiko
brings endless confidence and fun to the pair. Curious about absolutely everything, he loves being
wherever his people are, whether he’s climbing onto the bed to play, curling up on a lap or chest for
a nap, or “hunting” his favourite springs and crinkle balls with hilarious determination. His playful
personality, affectionate nature, and fearless confidence make him impossible not to love. Together,
Kalika and Kiko share a wonderful bond and would thrive in a home where they can continue filling
each day with cuddles, playtime, and companionship. Kalika and Kiko are ready to be adopted into
their forever home. One that will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors
