Rescue:Pet Patrol received a call from one of our volunteers after a friend’s family found three tiny
orphaned kittens in their barn. Earlier that same day, the kittens’ mother had been seen nursing
them and everything seemed perfectly normal. Later that afternoon, visiting grandchildren excitedly
ran to the barn but quickly came back upset after finding a cat that had unexpectedly passed away.
When the family went to investigate, they realized it was the kittens’ mother. Fern, Flora, and Fairy
were gathered up and brought safely inside, but at only a few weeks old they were far too young to
be on their own. Unsure how to care for such tiny babies, the family reached out for help and,
through a Pet Patrol volunteer, Fern and her sisters soon arrived safely in care, where they could
receive the support they needed.
Personality:
Flora is a sweet, affectionate kitten who firmly believes that wherever her people are is exactly
where she should be. She loves following her humans around, supervising daily activities, and
making sure she doesn’t miss out on anything exciting. Flora adores being picked up and carried
around and is always ready to demand a cuddle when the mood strikes. Playful and social, she
loves climbing cat trees, chasing wand toys, batting balls across the room, and spending time with
other cats and kittens. Because she enjoys feline companionship so much, Flora would likely love
having another playful kitty friend in her forever home. After a busy day of adventures, she can
usually be found snuggled up with her siblings or tucked away in a cozy cat cave for a wellearned
nap. Flora is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family
and keep her safely indoors.
