Rescue:
About a year ago, a brown tabby cat later named Astra appeared in the backyard of a residential
home with a single kitten, Shiloh, still nursing at her side. Both were shy and a little skittish at first,
but the homeowners began feeding them and slowly earned their trust. Over time, Astra and her
kitten became quite friendly, and a heated outdoor shelter was set up to help them endure what felt
like an endless winter. As spring approached, it became clear that Astra was pregnant again, and
the family knew she needed a safe place to have her kittens. She was brought into Pet Patrol’s
care, where her calm and gentle nature quickly showed, and less than 24 hours later she gave birth
to four kittens. About a week later, her daughter Shiloh—who had been a bit more elusive—was
also safely brought in, and the two were happily reunited in the warmth and safety of the sanctuary.
Personality:
Annie is a gentle, thoughtful little girl with a quiet charm that makes her impossible not to love. She
enjoys being picked up and carried and is often content to sit back and observe the world around
her before deciding whether to join in the fun. Annie loves watching her siblings race around and
wrestle, although every now and then she can’t resist jumping into the action herself. She enjoys all
kinds of kitten toys, especially crinkly balls, springs, and wand toys that encourage her playful side.
When playtime is over, Annie can usually be found snuggled up with her siblings or tucked into a
cozy bed, enjoying a peaceful nap. She would love to be adopted with her brother Artemis. Annie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
