Larissa

Larissa

Rescue:

Larissa was first seen last fall visiting one of Pet Patrol’s volunteer feeding stations set up for stray
cats passing through the area. Living in a small village surrounded by farms and close to cottages,
new cats often appear looking for food or shelter. At first, Larissa was very nervous and would only
take a few bites before running away. She disappeared for a time and wasn’t seen again until
winter, when she returned and began meowing to the volunteer, though she was still too shy to
come close. Gradually, she started visiting more often, and it soon became clear she was pregnant.
The volunteer spent time talking gently to her and slowly earning her trust. Larissa began exploring
the insulated outdoor shelters, likely searching for a safe place to have her kittens. When the
volunteer finally reached out to pet her, Larissa gave a small hiss but did not run. It was clear she
remembered the kindness of people, and once she felt that touch again she allowed herself to be
carefully placed in a carrier and brought indoors so she and her babies could be safe and warm.

Personality:

Kind, sweet, and affectionate, Larissa is the very definition of a compassionate companion. She
has a big heart, and not just for humans. This precious girl not only took care of her own litter of five
she “adopted” four other orphans! Even as they grew, she always enjoyed watching them at play.
And there’s always room for more love with her. When not on mom duty, Larissa enjoys chatting
with her people, sitting on her cat tree and catching the morning breeze through the window. Give
her some scritches and she’ll just melt with happiness. Larissa truly loves to love everyone around
her, and she’s ready to find her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep
her safely indoors.
