I wanted to say thank you.
I’m still a bit of a shy boy, so talking about my feelings is not exactly my specialty… but I’m trying.
When I first showed up hurt and scared, I didn’t really know if people were safe. My face hurt so much, and honestly, I was mostly just focused on surviving.
But then something very strange happened.
People cared about me.
Not just the nice woman who trapped me. Not just Pet Patrol. Lots and lots of people.
People I’ve never even met wanted to help me feel better.
And I don’t really know how to explain it… but I think it’s helping me learn that maybe humans aren’t so scary after all.
My face feels so much better now. The awful pressure is gone, I’m eating well, getting lots of treats, and slowly starting to relax. I still act like a tough farm boy sometimes, but the people here say I’m softening up little by little.
Maybe they’re right.
Thank you for helping me get the care I needed. Thank you for making a scruffy outdoor boy feel important.
I’m still learning how to trust… but now I think I want to try. 💙
