Maxwell

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message about an orange and white boy who had suddenly appeared on a
property in a small town. A photo of him sitting in a live trap was circulating on local social media, as
residents tried to determine where he had come from. The homeowners felt he wasn’t doing well
and did the responsible thing by bringing him safely into their garage. Though clearly intimidated by
the situation, Maxwell allowed himself to be gently petted, showing he was not a feral cat. Posts
searching for his original owner went unanswered, and soon Pet Patrol was contacted. Once in our
care, it became clear that Maxwell was struggling with some health issues. After a short stay at the
vet and proper treatment, he improved significantly with no lasting health concerns. Now happy and
stronger, Maxwell has settled in nicely at the sanctuary and is ready for a fresh start.

Personality:

Maxwell is the kind of kitty who thrives on affection and closeness. He happily rolls onto his back for
belly rubs, leaning into ear scratches and chin rubs with pure contentment. Sweet and gentle by
nature, he simply wants to be loved and included. Maxwell didn’t ask for the uncertain path that led
him here, but he has handled it with quiet resilience. All he truly wants now is a comfortable home,
a warm bed, and a person to curl up beside at the end of the day. He is an absolute doll with a
heart full of love to give. Maxwell is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
