Rescue:
Sasha’s journey with Pet Patrol has been quite the adventure. She was originally trapped outside the sanctuary grounds after spending time surviving on her own outdoors. At the time, Sasha was extremely feral and unsure of people, and shortly after arriving in care, she managed to escape by bursting through a window screen and disappearing back outside. For over a year, she continued living independently around the area, relying on her instincts and avoiding human interaction. When she was eventually trapped again, no one even realized it was Sasha at first—she looked completely different after so much time surviving outdoors. It was only after she was scanned that her identity was discovered. Brought back into Pet Patrol’s care for a second chance, something slowly changed. Sasha began settling into indoor life, discovering the comfort of warm beds, regular meals, feline friends, and gentle affection. Now Sasha is quite content being inside and has grown into a calm, observant girl who enjoys life at her own pace.
Personality:
Sasha is a special girl who enjoys life from her favourite high perch, quietly observing everything happening around her. She shares her days with a close group of feline friends—some feral, some social—and happily curls up to snooze with them, as she truly loves the company of other cats. Sasha has learned that people can be kind and will gently lean into pets, but her absolute favourite thing is being brushed. She melts into it completely and could happily stay there as long as you let her. If her more cautious friends start to grumble while she’s enjoying attention, Sasha will give them a little boop as if to say, “it’s okay, let me have this moment.” She prefers a calm environment and may retreat to a cozy hiding spot if things get too loud or busy. When she’s finished with attention, she simply walks away—never swatting or hissing, just politely excusing herself. And perhaps her most charming feature? Her deep, grumbly little meow that never fails to make people smile. Sasha is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
