Domino

Rescue:

A few years ago, a woman was visiting a neighbour in their back yard and noticed a rabbit frozen in motion. Close by, she saw three black kittens intently watching the rabbit. The neighbour said she was surprised, as she had no idea there was a young feline family living under her deck. A mission was put in place to rescue them all. Not knowing of any cat rescues, the kittens were taken to the local vet clinic, fixed, and rehomed. The mother cat was rescued, but they let her back out because the clinic was not open at the time. This was Domino’s mother Dream, and it was unfortunate because now we have a colony of nine cats from just one breeding female. The neighbours came together and provided cat houses, food and water year round. This year, as breeding season was approaching and not wanting the cats to produce more kittens, they all came into Pet Patrol’s care.

Personality:

Domino is a pretty laid-back cat, though still shy and reserved with new people. With those he knows well, he is quite petable. Being a boy from the street and not having been able to interact with humans while he was young, it will take a little while for him to get comfortable. He has no inclination to be outdoors anymore. And why should he, when he can enjoy basking in the sun in the luxury of a climate controlled environment? When you’ve earned Domino’s trust, he is content to receive head scritches and neck massages. Domino is looking for an adult only home with time and patience to help him adjust and become the best boy that he can be. He is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
