Rescue:
One of Pet Patrol’s volunteers lives in a small village surrounded by farms and conservation land,
where many cats show up hungry, nervous, and frightened. A feeding station and outdoor shelters
were set up to help them survive. A few months ago, a mother cat brought her babies to the station,
but the little ones were so scared they ran whenever anyone came near. Over time they kept
returning, and eventually they stayed, so shelters were set up on the deck for them. Ronnie was the
first to allow pets and was soon comfortable being picked up and snuggled. Ruby took a little longer
to warm up, but canned food and churu helped build trust. Soon both kittens were waiting at the
door each day. With colder weather arriving and concern for their health, the volunteer brought
them indoors. Within minutes they were exploring toys, cozy beds, scratch posts and the climbing
tree. Ronnie and Ruby are very bonded — they relied only on each other outdoors, always
snuggling together on the deck and chasing each other around the yard — and now they finally
have the chance to find a safe, loving home together.
Personality:
Ronnie and Ruby are a deeply bonded pair who bring out the best in each other. Ronnie is playful,
curious, and always looking for something he can turn into a game — especially springs, balls, and
anything he can bat around. Ruby is adventurous and confident, exploring every corner and
checking out anything new she can climb into or under. Together, they are a joyful duo who chase
each other, wrestle, and then curl up side by side for cozy naps. Both enjoy affection, belly rubs,
snuggles, and being included in whatever their people are doing. Ronnie and Ruby must be
adopted together. They are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that will welcome
them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
