Rescue:
One evening, a Pet Patrol volunteer received a call from a young man looking for help. He had
been visiting a cat named Mark—an affectionate and gentle boy who was clearly not doing well in
his current home. Mark had originally been adopted as a kitten and spent nearly a year in a loving
environment. But while his owner was away, a family member rehomed him due to allergies,
placing him with people unfamiliar with cat care. Sadly, Mark’s new home fed him only table scraps
instead of proper cat food, upsetting his tummy and causing noticeable weight loss. Over time, the
once sweetnatured
cat became withdrawn and defensive. With each visit, the young man saw
Mark slipping further away from the loving companion he once knew. Knowing Mark deserved
better and seeing that his people didn’t want him anymore, the young man reached out to Pet Patrol.
That very evening, this handsome cat was brought to the sanctuary, where it was clear how deeply
the young man cared for him. Now in Pet Patrol’s care, Mark is slowly returning to his affectionate
self, enjoying proper meals, safety, and gentle affection. He is ready for a fresh start, one that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
Personality:
Mark is a lively, affectionate boy bursting with personality! This energetic sweetheart is always on
the move, chasing after soft toys or anything that wiggles, and he never says no to a good play
session. But once he’s tired out, Mark transforms into the ultimate cuddle buddy. He loves being
petted and fussed over, happily curling up next to you for snuggles. At night, he’ll start by snoozing
at your feet, but don’t be surprised if you wake up to find him purring beside your head, he just
wants to be close to his favorite person. Mark isn’t shy about asking for attention either, he’ll let out
the cutest, most determined meows when he’s ready for love. Mark is ready to be adopted into his
forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
