I don’t remember a time when my eyes didn’t hurt. I was born in a big,
overcrowded barn, where the air was thick with dust, and the ground was hard and cold. My siblings and I were the smallest, so we stayed hidden, curling up together for warmth. The bigger cats took the best spots, and food was always a fight. But the worst part wasn’t the hunger – it was the dust. No matter how much I blinked, I couldn’t keep it out of my eyes.
At first, they just felt itchy. Then they became red, swollen, and sore…..
