Rescue:
Mia and Misty’s mom (Melody) was noticed by a former coworker of one of our volunteers. She was
at a friend’s farm looking after things while they were on holiday. She noticed the momma nursing
her three little calico kittens in the host’s garden. They had been there since they were born, and as
the story goes, Melody had already spent two winters outside, she refused to go into the barn. We
don’t know where she found proper shelter. When Pet Patrol received the call, one of the kittens
had already fallen into the pool and been fished out. The days were cold and nights were even
colder. The next day, she saw the mother cat take the kittens across the highway to hunt in the
field. One kitten got a little confused and sat down right on the yellow line! That was enough. All the
cats were quickly brought into Pet Patrol’s care where they have warmed up and thrived.
Personality:
Mia is a big, fluffy bundle of joy. She’s full of energy, always ready to chase after toys or romp
around with her siblings. Confident and brave, Mia has a heart as big as her fluffy coat and isn’t shy
about showing her affection. She is always happy to be by your side. Her purrs will fill the room
whenever you’re near, and she loves nothing more than being in the middle of the action. Misty is a
friendly little sweetheart too! Always the first to greet you, she uses her adorable meow to make
sure she has your attention. Once she’s got it, she’s quick to climb onto your lap or snuggle up on
your chest, purring like a train, completely content being close to you. Misty also loves all kinds of
toys. These sisters are ready to be adopted into their forever home, one that will welcome them into
the family and keep them safely indoors.
