Rescue:
From Sadie’s rescuer: “I received a message from one of my Facebook friends, about an
older lady who lives by herself just outside of town. She asked if I could come out to her place
because a cat had somehow showed up in her basement. Unknown to us, the cat had been
down there for five days. The woman probably didn’t hear her meowing until the fifth day, when
the cat, who by then was undoubtedly extremely hungry, began to cry more loudly and in
desperation. There had been a hole in the woman’s basement window, which is where Sadie
must have got in and the landlord had blocked the window five days prior, so poor Sadie had
been down there that long without anyone knowing. She had no food and no source of water.
When I picked her up she was very friendly but of course very hungry. She was more than
willing to jump into the carrier and come home with me.” Soon little Sadie was in Pet Patrol
care and has done very well, settled in and is quite content.
Personality:
What a dear little cat Sadie is. When she came into our care she showed her loving and
sweet nature right away, there was no question that she is a nice little cat and she appreciates
being rescued and cared for. As soon as you look at her she purrs and is happy for the attention from people, the love they give her and in return she kneads her little feet happily. She is
just discovering toys and like all cats will bat around a toy, roll around with a catnip sachet and
tests out the views from the top of the cat tree. She is hard to resist. Sadie has done well with
the other cats here in the sanctuary and has fit right in She is ready to be adopted into her
forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
