Daria

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a message from one of our volunteers who is very good at rescuing cats. She has a humane trap in the back of her car at the ready, with treats, canned food and paper plates to entice the cat to be rescued.  She recently received a report about a beautiful mother cat living behind a large grocery store in a very busy part of the city.  She had a little grey tabby kitten with her, Daria, and it seemed to be just the two of them. We are very sure there were other kittens as well but perhaps kind people scooped them up and took them home.  The mother cat was very hungry and it didn’t take long for her to go into the humane trap after the food and Daria was so small that the volunteer was able to just pick her up and put her safely in a carrier.  When they arrived at the Pet Patrol sanctuary the mom was very friendly but concerned for her kitten, but it was short-lived and they settled in quickly.

Personality:

Being safe and sound is a whole new world for Daria. In her former life on the streets, she only knew of an asphalt parking lot, garbage bins  and a busy parking lot with a highway nearby.  While in her foster home, she has done extremely well with the other kittens. She likes playing with them and running around after toys.  Daria has had great fun with cardboard boxes and the cat climber. She likes to be up high and acts pretty silly sometimes too. She is also very snuggly and has a lovely purr. This wee kitten is looking for a loving forever home.  One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
