Rescue:
Wesley is one of six young cats that came into Pet Patrol care from one location. It was a
farm property and the owners were becoming over populated with the cats and contacted the
local cat rescue organization to help. They thought that the cats would be picked up the same
day and their problem would be solved. But like most shelters, rescues and kind individuals
that foster cats, we all had been overwhelmed with an enormous number of cats this fall. They
were all needing to be rescued and saved from living desperately outside. Warwick and his
siblings had to wait until space was available at the small rescue and in the meantime they
contacted us for help. It took two weeks before Wesley could be rescued and the following
week their siblings, Winta, Wren, Waylon and Warwick arrived at the sanctuary. They have all
been spayed or neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. They are all in need of forever
homes now.
Personality:
Wesley and his siblings are wonderfully friendly and affectionate cats. All can be picked up
and carried, love to cuddle and be pet. They are very good with their people and are always
interested in what you do. Toys were at first ignored because they have not seen the likes, and
were not sure what to do with them. Once integrated into the sanctuary they watched and
followed the direction of the other cats and soon were having a blast. Darting through the kitty
tunnel and racing after the laser pen light has entertained them beautifully. They love the catnip
mice and playing Hide and Seek from under the day beds. Wesley is ready to be adopted
into his forever home. Hopefully with a playmate. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors
