ADOPTION PROFILE

Evie

Rescue:

Pet Patrol is connected to many cat rescue organizations, especially the smaller ones who
have high intake and less adoptions. We take in many cats from them and little Evie was
amongst the many. She came from a home where there were just too many cats in the house
and it started with just one stray cat. The woman started feeding it, and then as it felt better it
let her pet it. Soon it was invited into the house and became good company for her, as she
lived alone and was low income. Still allowing the cat to be indoor/outdoor it was inevitable
that the cat became pregnant. That would have been the time to spay her, but finances would
not allow it. Eight weeks later the cat had her kittens, all lovely black and white ones. Then a
few more strays were invited inside the home. She was able to find homes for some of the
kittens, but by now another stray was pregnant and so the population of cats exploded in her
home. She reached out to a local cat rescue and with the support of other people in the same
field, all the cats were rescued and placed up for adoption. Little Evie was a favourite and she
was held back for a little bit, but eventually she came into Pet Patrol care. A happy and healthy
little cat.

Personality:

Evie is a confident, friendly, curious and fun-loving kitten. She absolutely adores all people
and to explore new places and things. She always wants to be where people and other pets
are, is inquisitive and eager to make new discoveries, especially toys! Evie is easy to hold
and is happy to be carried around, as long as she can see everything that is going on. Her
favourite activities are playing fetch with her kibble, chasing and pouncing on toy wands, and
loudly chatting about how her day is going. Her purr is quick and her friendliness is irresistible.
Evie is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family
and keep her safely indoors.
