Rescue:
Little O, looked exactly like another cat on the farm property, named big O. We are assuming
the ‘O” stands for the orange colour of his coat. On this particular farm, there were no large
animals in the barn, no chicken coops, sheep, calves or pigs. This was considered a nonworking
farm. Over time as the buildings became more rundown and dilapidated the cats
were having a difficult time finding appropriate shelter form the wind, rain, cold and snow. It
was not a safe place for them and they were not protected from predators, which were starting
to move into the structure. The owners felt it was time to reduce the colony and contacted a
woman who was well known in their area for cat rescue. Although her foster homes were
occupied with cats and kittens, as it was that time of year, she contacted Pet Patrol to help.
Little O has shown us that he is a very sweet boy and deserving of a loving home,
Personality:
New to his foster home, Little O is still adjusting and he feels a bit more comfortable and
outgoing every day. He definitely likes to have people around and greets you when he sees
you. He’s not so sure about the resident dogs but seems adaptable. He’s great with the children
in the home, but does like to have some space around him when there is activity near
him. Little O loves being pet but seems less enthusiastic about being picked up, he doesn’t
complain or fuss he just swats his tail displaying concern. This handsome and sweet natured
boy is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family
and keep him safely indoors
