Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a tearful woman asking if we had any ideas of how she could
rehome her beloved cats. Their names are Kitten and Ollie and they are very attached to each
other. She had adopted them both at eight weeks of age, they have grown up together and
she never thought she would have to rehome them. But as time went on her allergies to cats
did not get any better and as she is presently going through some medical treatments, it was
suggested by the vet to rehome the cats for her wellbeing. This was heart breaking but she
realized necessary. Arrangements were made for them to come into Pet Patrol care, going
straight to a foster home where they will receive love and attention while awaiting their future
adoption into another family
Personality:
From their previous owner: They have been together now for almost two years and bonded
instantly with Kitten taking on the big brother role and making sure Ollie is not getting into too
much mischief. They love to eat, sleep, birdie watch and get into everything together. They are
both very loving cats who like to be close by you at all times. Ollie is the lap cat and will head
butt you to continue if you stop petting him. He is very playful and will take all the toys out of his
toy box until he finds the one he wants to play with that day. Kitten’s favourite sleeping spot is
in boxes and cupboards and he will play fetch with you when he gets his favourite toy in the
world, his Ducky, or the milk tab from the milk carton. Both cats know when you are having a
bad day and will stay extra close to you and cuddle up with you when you are sad. It is a really
difficult having to give them up. I will miss them forever. Thank you for helping me out with them
and I hope they are loved as much at their new home as they were here with me, my fiancé
and two children. Kitten and Ollie are ready to be adopted into their forever home. One that
will welcome them into the family and keep them safely indoors.
