Rescue:
Twyla was found living on the street, wandering aimlessly. She was excruciatingly thin and it
was found that she had given birth to a litter of kittens. Thankfully they were rescued shortly
after birth and brought into care. In her foster home they fed her kitten food to help keep her
weight up because she was losing almost everything through nursing. Not being a healthy
mom herself the foster mom had to supplement the kittens with kitten milk replacement to
make sure they survived. They did, and they thrived. It is taking a little while for Twyla to be
able to gain weight and we are still working on that but her lovely sweet nature has come
through and she is a dear little cat ready for her forever home.
Personality:
Twyla is a sensitive girl. She needs to be in a home where it is calm and relaxed, no children,
preferably no other cats, unless they are very calm and accepting. She tends to go off her food
in the beginning until she adjusts but it doesn’t take long. She loves to purrr, will stretch out with
her paws toward you showing her belly and wanting to be pet, have a good ear scratch and a
cuddle. Definitely a lap cat. Twyla is a wonderful girl ready to be adopted into her forever
home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
