Rescue:

This handsome boy’s rescue began thanks to a dedicated volunteer who manages feeding stations
for community cats and participates in trap­neuter­return efforts. When a new cat suddenly
appeared on her trail camera visiting one of the feeding stations, she knew he needed help. She
set a humane trap the very next evening and, much to her surprise, he walked right in. At first, he
appeared frightened, defensive, and completely feral, so he was taken through a local trap­neuterreturn program. Once safely indoors, however, his true personality slowly began to emerge. After
spending a few days quietly decompressing in a large recovery kennel, the frightened tomcat
began accepting gentle pets. Before long, he was purring, leaning into affection, and even wrapping
his paws around the volunteer’s fingers. It quickly became clear that beneath his fearful exterior
was a kind, loving cat who had simply endured far too much while trying to survive outdoors.
Covered in wounds and suffering from weepy eyes, his body told the story of countless hardships,
but despite everything he had experienced, he still chose to trust. Knowing he deserved far more
than life outside, the volunteer reached out to Pet Patrol so this sweet boy could finally begin the
safe, comfortable life he had always deserved.

Personality:

Clifford is a gentle, handsome boy with the kindest eyes and a heart that’s learning to trust. He
appreciates a slow introduction and prefers to sniff your hand first before deciding you’re a friend.
Once he knows you’re safe, Clifford melts into the attention, happily flopping onto his side for pets
and often becoming so relaxed that he drifts off to sleep. While the busy sanctuary can sometimes
feel overwhelming for him, it’s clear that beneath his cautious nature is a sweet, affectionate cat
who simply enjoys peace and quiet. Clifford would thrive in a calm home where he can settle in at
his own pace and build a close bond with his family. With a little patience and a lot of love, this
gentle boy will reward his people with endless affection and quiet companionship. Clifford is ready
to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
