Rescue:
Jackson first appeared on one of Pet Patrol’s volunteer cameras late at night, quietly passing
through under the cover of darkness. Night after night he returned, always frightened and quick to
run at the slightest movement—whether it was raccoons, skunks, or anything unfamiliar. It was
obvious that life outdoors had not been easy for him. One day he was finally spotted during daylight
hours, and food was put out. Jackson came running. The very next day, he was seen peeking
through the window, watching the cats safely inside the home as if hoping for warmth and comfort
of his own. A humane trap was set with food, and Jackson walked right in without hesitation. Soon
he was on his way to Pet Patrol, where for the first time in a long while he had a full belly, a warm
bed, and a safe place to rest. Though scared at first, Jackson quickly showed everyone that
beneath it all was a friendly boy who simply needed kindness, patience, and a chance to feel safe
again.
Personality:
Jackson is a sweet boy who gets along great with other cats. He wants nothing more than to curl up
on your lap and soak up as many hugs as you can give him. Gentle and affectionate, Jackson
enjoys playing with toys just as much as he enjoys lounging around and catching up on his naps.
Jackson would make a wonderful addition to a home with another friendly kitty looking for a
companion. He is ready to find his forever home — one where he will be loved, kept safe, and
remain indoors for the rest of his life.
