Rescue:
On a cold, wet night a man heard the faint cries of a tiny kitten somewhere outside his home.
Worried for her safety, he searched with a flashlight under the shed, beneath the deck, and through
the shrubs, but she was so small that she could have been hiding anywhere. The cries continued
through the night, and although he couldn’t find her right away, he kept searching. When he
returned from work the next day, he finally spotted her tucked among a pile of wooden skids.
Petunia was barely five weeks old—far too young to be alone and unsure of where her mother or
siblings were. Several weeks later, while Petunia was already in Pet Patrol’s care, the rest of her
family was finally located. Momma Piper and four additional kittens Pancake, Paprika, Parsley,
and Popcorn were safely rescued. All are thriving and ready for the cozy, indoor life.
Personality:
Popcorn is a sweet kitten who is learning that people are kind and gentle, and his confidence is
growing more each day. He is becoming increasingly comfortable being picked up and petted,
especially once he feels safe. Popcorn is very playful and loves batting toys around, especially
chasing spring toys and proudly bringing them back for more. He also enjoys roughandtumble
play with his siblings and is always ready for a game. When he’s tired, he can be found curled up in
a cozy cat house or nestled into soft blankets with his family. Popcorn is ready to be adopted into
his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
