Rescue:
The D family’s story began on a peaceful hobby farm with rolling fields, horses, fruit trees, and a
long laneway tucked away from the road. She had made the farm her home after arriving from a
neighbouring property, where she was known to be an incredibly friendly cat. When she gave birth
to her kittens in the barn, the family wanted to make sure they all had the opportunity for safe,
loving indoor lives. They reached out to Pet Patrol, and Desi and her little family were welcomed
into our care. As if raising her own kittens wasn’t enough, Desi also opened her heart to an
orphaned kitten named Muffin, lovingly accepting him as one of her own and giving him the comfort
and care every baby deserves.
Personality:
Dita, despite being the most timid of her litter, is the most energetic and observant kitten you’ll ever
meet. This girl loves sprinting across the house, often in chase with her sister DeeDee, before
jumping onto the couch with a dramatic flop onto the cushions. After she’s sucessfully zoomed
away her kitten energy, Dita can be found cuddled with one of her siblings, or just snoozing on the
tallest platform of a cat tree. Dita’s favourite spot when she’s not in playtime mode is nosepressed
to the bay window she watches for birds and bugs with the intensity of a true predator. Dita is still
learning to trust humans and will need patience to grow at her own pace. Having another feline
friend around would help her continue gaining confidence, especially if she could share a forever
home with DeeDee. Dita is ready to be adopted into her new family. One that will give her the
kindess to grow and keep her safely indoors.
