Rescue:

Pet Patrol was alerted to a rural property where the number of cats had quietly grown beyond what
one family could manage. After an elderly woman passed away, her daughter inherited the property
and the many cats her mother had lovingly cared for over the years. As time went on, it became
clear that keeping up with spaying and neutering had become impossible, and by the time help
arrived, there were 12 adult cats and 19 kittens living throughout the property. The cats had
managed to create cozy little shelters for themselves amongst the farm equipment, stacked
furniture, boxes, and warm straw scattered through the sheds and coop. A heat lamp in the chicken
coop helped keep many of them warm, and despite their circumstances, the cats were healthy,
friendly, and eager for attention. Volunteers were greeted by affectionate adults weaving around
their legs while tiny kittens peeked out shyly from behind abandoned fridges, stacked lawn chairs,
and hidden corners before slowly venturing out to investigate. They were safely brought into Pet
Patrol’s care, where they could begin their next chapter in loving foster homes.

Personality:

Posey may be one of the smaller kittens in the litter, but she carries herself like she owns the place.
Confident, affectionate, and full of personality, she happily strolls through the house with endless
curiosity and has become quite the little climber. One of her favourite places to nap is curled up in
the hammock of the cat tree after a busy day of wrestling with her siblings and chasing toys around
the room. Posey has a wonderfully sweet side too and absolutely loves tummy tickles, often
rewarding them with tiny kitten kisses. Easy to pick up and always happy to be around people,
Posey is a loving little girl with plenty of confidence and charm. Posey is ready to be adopted into
her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
