Alexa

Rescue:

Alexa came to Pet Patrol after a kindhearted truck driver reached out on her behalf. Alexa
belonged to a man who had recently immigrated to Canada and was renting a basement
apartment. He had welcomed Alexa and her brother into his home but, unfamiliar with the
importance of spaying and neutering, had not yet had either cat altered. Worried that Alexa would
become pregnant and that her brother’s behaviour would begin to change as they matured, he
made the difficult decision to rehome the male cat to a farm. Knowing that house cats are not suited
to life on farms and wanting the best possible future for Alexa, the truck driver—who had previously
rescued several cats for Pet Patrol—contacted us for help. Alexa was safely brought into our care,
and efforts began to locate her brother as well so he, too, could have the opportunity to live safely
indoors.

Personality:

Alexa is a sweet, dainty little girl with a happygolucky personality that makes her a joy to be
around. She loves being petted, doesn’t mind being picked up and carried, and quickly wins people
over with her gentle, affectionate nature. Curious by nature, Alexa is always eager to investigate a
new room, inspect every corner, and test out every toy she can find. She approaches life with
enthusiasm and enjoys keeping herself busy before happily settling down for some wellearned
cuddles. Friendly, playful, and full of charm, Alexa is a wonderful little companion who is ready to
find a forever family to spoil her. Alexa is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will
welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors.
