Kashus

Kashus

Rescue:

Kashus came to Pet Patrol after volunteers were alerted to an orange mother cat who had given
birth to kittens inside an old shed in a tiny village where everyone seemed to know one another.
The elderly homeowner had no idea the little family was living there, as she had not been inside the
shed for many years. The building itself was badly weathered, with sunlight shining through the
wooden walls and years of clutter scattered throughout. Old appliances, a mattress, scrap metal,
and debris filled the space, creating countless hiding spots for the frightened cats. Pet Patrol
volunteers quickly developed a rescue plan, setting humane traps baited with smelly cat food and
spending hours quietly waiting in the shed for the kittens to appear. Because the kittens were too
small to trigger a traditional trap, a remotecontrolled trap was used instead. Before long, little
Kashus was safely rescued. Although frightened and unfamiliar with people, he quickly showed
everyone what a sweet kitten he truly was. Within a few days, his sister Korra and their mother
were also safely brought into care, giving the family a chance at a much brighter future.

Personality:

Kashus is a sweet and snuggly champagne boy with the cutest little personality. He loves to play,
gets the zoomies, and can be a little wild in the best kitten way before curling up for a cozy nap. He
is also quite vocal and isn’t afraid to tell you what he wants! Although he is still getting used to
human interaction, he is coming along beautifully and is already showing what an affectionate boy
he will be. Kashus does well with other cats and children and would love a home that will continue
helping him build confidence with patience and love. Kashus is looking for a family who will love
him forever and keep him safely indoors.
