Rescue:
Emails asking for help arrive every single day, often from people facing heartbreaking decisions
during incredibly difficult times. That was the case for Peanut’s owner, who found herself losing her
housing and no longer able to live independently. As she prepared to move in with family, she was
devastated to learn that Peanut, an unneutered male cat she had lovingly raised since he was just
six weeks old, could not come with her. Peanut had been her constant companion through
everything. She originally adopted him after her brother’s cat had kittens, with her brother keeping
Peanut’s sister while she brought home this sweet little boy. Having to say goodbye to him was one
of the hardest choices she’s ever had to make, but she wanted to ensure he would be safe, loved,
and given the chance at a wonderful future.
Personality:
Peanut is a laidback, easygoing boy with a wonderfully sweet personality. He can be a little shy at
first, especially around loud activity or unfamiliar people, simply because he was raised in a quieter
home environment. Once he feels comfortable, though, Peanut’s affectionate and playful side
quickly shines through. He loves interactive playtime with his toys, enjoys cuddling up close with his
people, and is more than happy to curl up in a warm lap for snuggles and companionship. Peanut
also does well with gentle large dogs and other cats when introduced properly. With his soft fluffy
coat, calm nature, and loving heart, Peanut is the kind of cat who quietly steals your heart the more
time you spend with him. Peanut is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will
welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
