Nisha

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who had been feeding a young cat she noticed visiting her
home starting in November, just as winter was setting in. With cold winds and one of the snowiest
winters in recent memory, she made sure the cat—now named Nixie—had food and some
protection from the weather. Nixie ate on the back deck and had access to a small tentlike shelter
with a cat house inside, which helped block the wind though the cold was still harsh. Found in the
heart of a small village surrounded by farmland, it’s unclear exactly where Nixie originally came
from, though a large roaming orange tom was often seen nearby. Over time, Nixie became
friendlier, and it soon became clear that she was pregnant. The night before she gave birth, the
woman brought her into a heated garage so she could deliver her kittens safely. Nixie and her
babies stayed there for their first week before coming into Pet Patrol’s care. Now safe indoors,
Nixie and her kittens have a much brighter future ahead.

Personality:

Nisha is a playful little character full of kitten energy and personality. She loves roughhousing with
her siblings—especially her brother Nox, who she wrestles with constantly—and can often be found
climbing, chasing, and tumbling her way through the day. One of her funniest habits is dramatically
rolling onto her back to show off her belly whenever she’s feeling relaxed and playful. Nisha
absolutely loves tunnels, mouse toys, and crinkle balls, and she’s always ready to join in on a game
of chase. With her silly antics and adventurous spirit, she brings endless entertainment wherever
she goes. Nisha is ready to be adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the
family and keep her safely indoors.
