Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a call from a woman who had been feeding a young cat she noticed visiting her
home starting in November, just as winter was setting in. With cold winds and one of the snowiest
winters in recent memory, she made sure the cat—now named Nixie—had food and some
protection from the weather. Nixie ate on the back deck and had access to a small tentlike shelter
with a cat house inside, which helped block the wind though the cold was still harsh. Found in the
heart of a small village surrounded by farmland, it’s unclear exactly where Nixie originally came
from, though a large roaming orange tom was often seen nearby. Over time, Nixie became
friendlier, and it soon became clear that she was pregnant. The night before she gave birth, the
woman brought her into a heated garage so she could deliver her kittens safely. Nixie and her
babies stayed there for their first week before coming into Pet Patrol’s care. Now safe indoors,
Nixie and her kittens have a much brighter future ahead.
Personality:
Nibbler is the definition of a cuddle bug. This affectionate little boy is almost always the first to greet
you and is happiest when he’s curled up in your lap or being carried around in your arms. He
absolutely loves people and has the sweetest habit of giving little kitty kisses to everyone he
adores. When he’s not soaking up affection, Nibbler is busy playing with his siblings, chasing
mouse toys and crinkle balls, or darting through tunnels during games of chase. Despite all the
kitten chaos, he always makes time to stop for cuddles and attention. Nibbler’s loving personality
makes it impossible not to fall for him. Nibbler is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One
that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
