Rescue:
Pet Patrol was contacted by a woman living on a rural property who had long been committed to
managing the cats around her through spaying and neutering. Recently, a new female cat
wandered onto her property from a nearby area and made herself at home. It wasn’t long before it
became clear the cat was pregnant, and with the arrival of spring, kittens soon followed. Wanting to
give them the best chance at a good life, she reached out for help placing them. Duke was brought
into Pet Patrol’s care as one of the kittens, arriving with a mild cold and slight eye infection, but
already comfortable being handled and eager for affection.
Personality:
Duke is a sweet and playful little boy with a heart full of love. He starts purring almost immediately
at the sight of a human, and once you pick him up it is impossible not to fall in love with him. Duke’s
favourite thing in the world is being held close in your arms, soaking up cuddles and giving sweet
little nose kisses in return. While he is incredibly affectionate, he also has a playful side and loves
getting the zoomies, running around and playing with his feline friends. Duke thrives on
companionship and would do best adopted into a home with other cats, or alongside another
sibling or kitten friend to grow up with. Duke wants to be adopted into a home that will keep him
safely indoors.
