Petunia

Rescue:

Petunia’s story began on a cold, wet night when a man heard the faint cries of a tiny kitten
somewhere outside his home. Worried for her safety, he searched with a flashlight under the shed,
beneath the deck, and through the shrubs, but she was so small that she could have been hiding
anywhere. The cries continued through the night, and although he couldn’t find her right away, he
kept searching. When he returned from work the next day, he finally spotted her tucked among a
pile of wooden skids. Petunia was barely five weeks old—far too young to be alone. He quickly
contacted a local pet food store, who connected him with a woman running a small cat rescue in a
nearby village. When Petunia arrived she was wideeyed and frightened, unsure of where her
mother or siblings were. Soon she was placed into a warm foster home, given a bath, a good meal,
and introduced to a litter of kittens her own age. It didn’t take long for Petunia to settle in, happily
curling up with her new foster family—her bright calico coat standing out among her new black
kitten companions.

Personality:

Petunia may be small, but she is mighty in personality. This sweet and spirited little girl quickly
made herself at home with her adopted siblings after being found all alone, and she hasn’t looked
back since. She loves playing with her kitten family, chasing spring toys and balls, and joining in on
games of chase around the house. Petunia is both playful and affectionate, bringing a perfect
balance of energy and sweetness. Petunia would love to be adopted with her adopted sister
Bexley, but would also do well in a home with another playful companion. Petunia is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
