Rescue:
Just before Christmas, a small black mother cat and four ten week old kittens began appearing at a
neighborhood feeding station, coming from an old shed area nearby. Though timid and uncertain at
first, they slowly grew comfortable enough to stay and eat while their caretakers were nearby. The
kittens sometimes allowed gentle touches, but their protective mother—later named Betty—kept
her distance, watching over them carefully. The plan was to gradually gain their trust and rescue
them when the weather improved, but in February it became clear that Betty was pregnant again.
On a cold, foggy day in early March, she was discovered sheltering in a strawfilled box with six
newborn kittens. Knowing the family needed help, the rescuers quickly secured Betty and carefully
gathered her babies, bringing them safely to Pet Patrol. Though understandably upset at first, Betty
immediately settled with her kittens. Now the whole family is warm, safe, and Betty will finally be
spayed so she never has to endure another litter.
Personality:
Bramble is the perfect mix of playful and affectionate. He has a sweet, gentle nature and loves
spending time with his people, especially when it means being held or curled up in your arms for a
nap. When it’s playtime, Bramble is full of energy, happily chasing ping pong balls and feather
wands with enthusiasm. Once he’s tired himself out, he’s right back to being a snuggly little love
bug. Bramble would love to be adopted with his brother Binx, but would also thrive in a home with
another friendly cat. Bramble is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome
him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
