Rescue:
Just before Christmas, a small black mother cat and four ten week old kittens began appearing at a
neighborhood feeding station, coming from an old shed area nearby. Though timid and uncertain at
first, they slowly grew comfortable enough to stay and eat while their caretakers were nearby. The
kittens sometimes allowed gentle touches, but their protective mother—later named Betty—kept
her distance, watching over them carefully. The plan was to gradually gain their trust and rescue
them when the weather improved, but in February it became clear that Betty was pregnant again.
On a cold, foggy day in early March, she was discovered sheltering in a strawfilled box with six
newborn kittens. Knowing the family needed help, the rescuers quickly secured Betty and carefully
gathered her babies, bringing them safely to Pet Patrol. Though understandably upset at first, Betty
immediately settled with her kittens. Now the whole family is warm, safe, and Betty will finally be
spayed so she never has to endure another litter.
Personality:
Bexley is the spunky standout of her litter, full of playful energy and personality. She loves chasing
pompom balls, batting ping pong balls across the floor, and leaping after feather wands. After a
good play session, she’s just as happy to settle in for affection, often curling up in the crook of your
legs for a cozy rest. Bexley has a funloving spirit paired with a cuddly side, making her a wellrounded and entertaining companion. Bexley would love to be adopted with her adopted sister
Petunia, but would also thrive in a home with another energetic kitten. Bexley is ready to be
adopted into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
