Rescue:
Nova’s early life started out with promise—adopted as a kitten along with his brother, it seemed like
the two would grow up side by side in a loving home. Unfortunately, neither was neutered, and
when female cats would wander into the yard, their bond was tested. The brothers began to fight,
and Nova, being the gentler of the two, took the brunt of the aggression. He was separated for his
own safety and relocated to the basement. While his owner cared for him, visits were short; she
feared being attacked by Nova’s brother afterward, who would smell him on her clothes. Nova
spent most of his days alone, in isolation, with only brief moments of company and affection. His
previous owner knew this couldn’t go on and contacted Pet Patrol for help, offering Nova a fresh
start. Now neutered and living in a peaceful environment, he’s showing everyone just how sweet
and affectionate he truly is.
Personality:
Nova is a total lovebug with a heart full of cuddles. He absolutely adores being picked up and
snuggled, making him a wonderful match for someone who adores their cat. Playful and curious,
Nova’s favorite toys include ribbon wands, catnip mice, and – his personal favorite – wine corks,
which he chases with glee. There’s something about the unpredictable way they bounce that keeps
him endlessly entertained! He enjoys darting through cat tunnels and following streamers with wildeyed
enthusiasm. In quieter moments, Nova seeks out human affection, rubbing up against your
legs or curling up in your arms like the gentle soul he is. This charming boy is thriving now that he’s
in a calm, loving space—and he’s ready to bring that same joy and warmth to his forever home.
Nova is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and
keep him safely indoors.
