Rescue:
Pet Patrol received a message from a couple who are looking for some assistance in placing
their elderly father’s cat. Apparently little Oreo is cute and as young as she is was given to the
gentleman to keep him company. It is usually not recommended that active and full of life little
cats be placed with seniors because of risks of getting under their feet, scratching up furniture,
and scratching them as well. But also looking at longevity the kitty will more than likely outlive
the owner’s ability to look after the cat. This is the case with this pretty girl as her owner
needed more care of himself and no one in the family was able to take in Oreo. They were
quite happy to hear about Pet Patrol and that we were able to take her in. She had been well
looked after in her home and is doing very well in her foster home
Personality:
Oreo is a very gentle and affectionate cat who loves to sprawl out and lounge, be pet and will
snuggle close to you. She enjoys being brushed, and is a cuddle queen. When picked up she
nuzzles right into your shoulder or neck. She is shy and wants you to come to her first, but she
has so much love to give. Oreo gets along very well with adults and children. She would be
happiest in a home without a dog. She is quickly learning to enjoy cat friends but prefers her
human companions. Her fosters feel that she should have a name change to Daisy or Ruby to reflect her sweet gentle personality. She is a gentle kitty, who is gaining confidence as she grows, and will
expand her new families heart as she is the sweetest cat friend. Oreo is ready to be adopted
into her forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely indoors
