Rescue:
A woman who lives in a small town outside of the city had seen a posting of this brown tabby
and white boy on the community social media site. ”Does anyone know who owns this cat?”
said the ad. Apparently, she had been looking out from her balcony and saw him playing along
the river in her vast yard. He was scampering up and down the bank playing with the leaves.
As soon as he realized she was there he scampered off. Immediately she started feeding him
as he appeared to be quite thin and over a very short period of time she was able to gain his
trust and pet him. Gatsby is obviously a very friendly cat and used to people but somehow
ended up homeless. The woman was feeding him regular cat food but also cooked chicken
and scrambled eggs. He needed all the protein and food he could get. With no one responding to the social media ad he was soon brought into Pet Patrol care where he has proven to
be a lovely boy.
Personality:
Gatsby is super friendly and affectionate. He is easy going and loving, likes to be pet by everyone at the sanctuary, familiar and new and purrs deeply when you do. He is a medium sized
cat, just the right size for a lap kitty and to snuggle with you at night. He seems to be calm and
accepting of change. Gatsby can be found lying in the sunbeam in his favourite window, the
one with the best view for him, keeping an eye on the activities outside. He is content to stay in
and appreciates all the love and attention he receives. His life is so much better now. He is
playful with balls and catnip mice, the laser pen light was a bit of a mystery to him before but
he is catching on. Gatsby is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
