Rescue:

Little Mulberry and his four siblings were born to Maisie, who is described as “amazing!” Here
is the message received about her dilemma: “A couple of years back, my wife and I adopted
two kittens from your cat rescue. They are both doing fine. Last February, a stray showed up
at the backdoor. Obviously pregnant and looking for a home. I thought she’d move on but
apparently not. She has been holed up and made a home in one of my boats. Do you have a
list of organizations that would be interested in this cat. She has not had her kittens yet…… but
soon. Because of health concerns with my own cats, I haven’t attempted to pick the cat up.
She appears friendly and starved for affection, but in good health. I have given her some
kibble out of compassion which is probably why the cat is still here. It’s certainly approachable
and was probably a “drop off “. The neighbor has a barn, but emphatically says it’s not his cat.
It’s-13 degrees this morning and I’ve seen three coyotes. I am glad she will go somewhere
warm and safe to have her litter and I know you will find them all good homes.” That same day
Maisie was brought into Pet Patrol care and within a week gave birth to five kittens.

Personality:

Mulberry is the most social little guy you could meet. He is the first of his litter to greet any
human who approaches. He has a big, bold personality and he does a lot of “ chatting” with his
humans. He is cuddly when he is tired and very active when he is not. He loves to rough and
tumble with his siblings and even tries to get his mama to play with him. Mulberry has spent
the first weeks of life with his mama and siblings. He is a bit nervous going into new rooms
and situations but adjusts fairly quickly. Mulberry would do best being adopted with another of
his siblings or into a home with a social cat who can show him the ropes. He is ready to be
adopted into his forever home. One that will welcome him into the family and keep him safely
indoors.
