Bear

Rescue:

Pet Patrol received the following message about a lovely cat needing to be re homed: Here
is my cat Bear, he is close to three years old and has been neutered with his shots. He is
an absolute sweetheart and loves belly rubs and ear scratches. Very playful, but the atmosphere must feel safe and quiet for him to come out of his shell – I don’t think he is
suitable for young children or other pets. He gets very timid around either. He is all black
with maybe a couple white hairs on his neck (very cute). He has some dog like mannerisms like wagging his tail when he is happy and excited (I know cats usually do that when
angry but he doesn’t, haha, it’s very cute) and he loves to play fetch lol, brings the water
bottle caps back half the time when you throw them. I really want him to go to the right
home and be well loved. I hate that I have to give him up, but I’d rather him be happy and
healthy!

Personality:

Since Bear’s owner was moving out of the province and not sure where she will be staying
permanently (temporary housing was limited) she felt that it would be too hard on Bear.
The whole experience would be bothersome and she just didn’t feel comfortable putting
him through that. He is described as a very likable and loving cat who has lived his life
with just one person in a fairly quiet home. Busyness of children and other pets can be
upsetting for him, causing him to hide. But otherwise he is very receptive to his people, is
affectionate and endearing. Bear is ready to be adopted into his forever home. One that
will welcome him into the family and keep him safely indoors.
