Rescue:

Scooter was first discovered outside pressing up against the screen in the front window of a
house, meowing for attention. The woman living there took in this pretty little cat so that she
would be safe. Soon named Scooter, she appeared to be about a year to eighteen months
old and made herself at home but the woman wasn’t intending on keeping her permanently.
After a few days she took the cat to the city shelter but kept thinking and worrying about her
and offered to adopt her from the shelter. By this time no one was interested in adopting Scooter
so she was destined to be euthanized. The woman called right in the nick of time. Fast forward to
a few years ago, and Scooters happy home life had changed. Being the only cat all this time
she was quite content with her life style until another cat came into the house. Then the woman
adopted a large breed dog. Since then Scooter has taken to hiding behind the couch and not
coming out to interact with anyone. The choice to rehome Scooter was made.

Personality:

Scooter is a beautiful calico girl who is friendly and social. She loves her people and is quite
devoted to them, wanting to snuggle and cuddle in a bedtime and TV time. She is quite the
neighbourhood watch cat and enjoys having a wide window sill or the top of the cat tree to
gaze out the window, watching the activities outside. A sunbeam is always welcomed and she
loves to bask in its warmth, especially if there is a cardboard box involved. All cats love to
sleep in cardboard boxes. Scooter is described as having the best purr ever. It is loud and
soulful. She also is quite intelligent and will tell you when she is hungry by sitting directly in
from on you, making eye contact and mewing. It is quite cute. Scooter is good with adults and
older children but would prefer no young children, other cats or dogs. This lovely cat is deserving of a devoted forever home. One that will welcome her into the family and keep her safely
indoors.
